Oyado Hachibei

Boasting a hot spring bath and a common lounge with a Japanese-style hearth, Oyado Hachibei offers traditional accommodation that went through a thorough renovation in 2013. Convenient facilities like a coin launderette and free property-wide WiFi are provided. Free 10-minute shuttles are available from JR Takayama Station between 15:00 and 17:00.
Each guest room is fitted with tatami (woven-straw) flooring and traditional futon bedding. Other in-room facilities include a flat-screen TV and an electric kettle.
Guests at the Hachibei ryokan can unwind in the public hot spring bath after spending a day exploring Takayama. Drinks vending machines are available on site, and free luggage storage services are provided at the front desk.
The property is a 10-minute drive to Miyagawa Morning Market. Hida Folk Village is located a 5-minute walk away. Shirakawa-go can be accessed within a 1-hour bus ride, and the bus terminal from which the buses to Shirakawa-go leaves from is just a 5-minute drive away.
