Yoshinoya Ryokan

A 20-minute walk to the Gokayama Onsen hot spring area and a 30-minute drive from the historic villages of Shirakawa-go, Yoshinoya Ryokan offers traditional Japanese rooms and cuisine. Bicycles can be rented, and the lobby has free Wi-Fi.
Guests at Ryokan Yoshinoya sleep in Japanese-style futon bedding on a tatami (woven-straw) floor. The room includes an air-conditioner/heater, an LCD TV, a mini-fridge and an electric kettle with green tea. Toilets and bathrooms are shared with other guests.
The inn is a 10-minute drive from Gokayama Interchange (IC) on the Tokai-Hokuriku-Highway. JR Johana Station is a 25-minute drive away. The hotel can take guests wherever they want to go within the Gokayama area, free of charge. (To use this service, please make a reservation at time of booking.) On-site parking is free.
Herb baths are available in both the men’s and women’s shared bathrooms, and the women’s bathroom also includes a jet bath. Some pets are allowed on request, though extra fees may apply.
A set-menu breakfast and dinner are served at the dining room. Special Shojin-Ryori (vegetarian Buddhist) cuisine is available with an advance reservation. There are no restaurants in the area.
